L&D, Rehab RN

Under minimal supervision, the Registered Nurse provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients' needs with the nurse' competencies. Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: T wo years in acute care. Previous clinical nursing experience. Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY or any nurse floated into L&D)

*Fetal Monitoring - L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs are required to complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring with 30 days from hire date or transfer date into unit and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring with 8 months of L&D Orientation. Experienced L&D RNs (1 yr experience) must have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring on hire or within the first 90 days of hire

Level 2 Nursery-Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (Renewal is not required).

AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (PEDIATRICS)
