Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring a compact or Oklahoma RN license and remote telemetry monitoring experience.
Details
Work on a 32-bed Medical/Peds/Onc unit within a hospital setting
Patient population includes med/surg cases such as COPD, pneumonia, chest pain, and COVID
Patient ratio is typically 1:6, though ratios are not guaranteed and may vary
Remote telemetry monitored by ICU staff
Uses Epic EMR
Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every other Friday/Saturday night required
Rotational floating required
No on-call requirements, though staff may be held over during scheduled shifts if needed
Requirements
Active RN license (Oklahoma or compact/multistate)
BLS certification from AHA required
ACLS certification preferred
Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
Provide direct patient care across a range of med/surg diagnoses including respiratory and cardiac conditions
Black scrubs required as part of dress code
Team-oriented, outgoing, and flexible personality preferred to fit unit culture
Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted, though bill rate is reduced by $10 from the posted travel rate
Candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the radius
