Travel RN – Oncology / BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant)
Location: Medical City Dallas – Dallas, TX
Shift: Night (19:00–07:00) Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Oncology unit. The RN will provide specialized care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T therapy while working in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care to oncology and BMT patients
Administer and manage chemotherapy safely (ONS standards)
Care for transplant patients (autologous, allogeneic, haploidentical, matched/unmatched)
Support CAR-T therapy patients
Perform advanced assessments and monitor patient status
Interpret telemetry and assist with IV drip titration (PCU-level care)
Educate patients and families on treatment and side effects
Document care using Meditech EMR
Follow safety protocols and participate in bedside shift reporting
Required Qualifications
Active RN license
Oncology nursing experience required
BLS & ACLS required
ONS Chemotherapy Certification required prior to start
Ability to care for PCU-level acuity patients
Telemetry interpretation skills
Preferred
BMT experience
CAR-T experience
Travel nursing experience
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Unit Overview

• 40-bed Oncology/BMT unit
• Nurse ratio: ~1:3 (up to 1:4 based on staffing)
• Support staff: PCTs + unit clerks (day shift)
• Equipment: bedside monitors, lift assist devices
• EMR: Meditech
• Travelers float first
