Director of Accounting

The Director of Accounting will lead an accounting management team, directly supervise two Controllers that oversee a staff of 20 accountants, and partner closely with the SVP of Financial Operations on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and departmental direction. This is far more than a traditional "close the books" accounting role. Lead and develop high-performing accounting teams

Drive accountability, operational efficiency, and process improvement

Standardize workflows and improve reporting through data and analytics

Navigate complex financial conversations with boards and leadership teams

Serve as a technical accounting resource across the organization

Help scale systems, controls, reporting, and accounting operations

Partner cross-functionally with operations, IT, training, and business development teams

Oversight of monthly financial reporting and reviews

Managing complex multi-entity accounting environments

Supporting audits, internal controls, and SSAE-18 / SOC compliance

Leading accounting integrations for acquisitions

Driving technology enhancements and accounting system improvements

Coaching and mentoring Controllers and accounting staff

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, macros, pivot tables, and large data analysis
