Are you polished, organized, and able to stay calm and welcoming when the dining room gets busy?
Schlesinger's Steakhouse is looking for a professional, personable Host to join our team in Newport News!
As Newport News' premier chophouse, we're known for exceptional steaks, seafood, and service. Our Host is an important part of that experience you're the first and last impression our guests have.
Welcome every guest with a genuine smile and warm hospitality
Answer phones and assist guests with questions and requests
Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and the rest of the team
Keep the host stand clean, organized, and guest-ready
Help manage the flow of the dining room during busy services
Calm and composed when the restaurant gets busy
Positive, upbeat, and genuinely enjoys hospitality
Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Previous hosting, upscale dining, or customer-service experience is a plus
Flexible scheduling
Opportunities to learn and grow within an established restaurant
A chance to build valuable hospitality and guest-service skills
