shift Restaurant Server -

As a Server, you will have the opportunity to lead our guests through their IHOP experience with top notch service, menu knowledge and the highest level of hospitality. Our servers are the face of the IHOP brand so those with a knack for a smile on their face and a genuine care for the wellbeing of our guests will excel at this position.

Execute the "Server Guidelines to Great Guest Service" per IHOP SOP to ensure a high-quality guest experience, including the use of technology to take orders, etc.

• Handle guest complaints in a timely manner, inquire about the quality of the dining experience, thank guests and invite them to return.
• Communicate guest food orders and service requests in an accurate and timely manner.
• Comply with SOP methods in regard to guest checks and maintaining cash control.
• Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as well as the IHOP Safety Manual and SOP health, sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service areas and dining room.
• While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member must spend virtually their entire shift on their feet, with regular prolonged standing, remaining upright within minimal seating; continuous walking navigating tight spaces, dining rooms and high-traffic kitchen corridors and moving quickly and pivoting safely while balancing objects in a high-stress restaurant environment. The Team Member regularly must lift and/or up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including heavy utilization of trunk rotation.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must possess good communication skills to accurately interpret kitchen recipes, company training programs, and follow company safety guidelines. The role requires the ability to understand spoken English instructions clearly and collaborate effectively with teammates during fast-paced shifts. Additionally, they must read English proficiently enough to process guest food orders, handle ticket modifications, and maintain seamless team operations under pressure.
This position is considered an hourly position, state minimum wage pay.
