**Shift:**

Coordinates and provides quality patient-focused care in a physician's clinic.

• Performs patient intake entry, obtains vital signs, and documents patient information.
• Assists physicians with examinations, treatments, and office surgeries.
• Performs phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, adhering to state and federal regulations.
• Screens telephone calls, takes accurate clinical messages, and answers routine patient inquiries.
• Ensures exam room equipment is clean and properly set up before each patient encounter.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
• Obtains insurance prior authorizations for medications and communicates changes to providers and patients.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Use of Computers, telephone, fax machine, copier, stethoscope, EKG machine, pulse oximeter, oxygen devices, wheelchairs, stretchers, scales, glucose monitor, and other patient care equipment necessary to perform required duties as appropriate to the scope of the practice. [Proficiency must be attained via on-the-job training, and orientation, [Preferred]

**Field of Study:**

+ Associates Degree or equivalent specific to Licensed Practice Nurse preferred

**Work Experience:**

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) [Required]
• Certain positions are subject to **Florida Level 2 background screening** , including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
