Job Description
Nursing - Obstetric Emergency Department
Schedule
3 days per week with every other weekend required. One 12-hour shift per schedule. Maximum of 7 days for requested time off. Minor holiday shifts may be required based on assignment timing.
Assignment Details
13-week contract with an average daily census of 15 patients in a 6-room facility.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, not in a teaching facility.
Current BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications required.
Ability to perform vaginal exams autonomously.
Experience in circulating and triaging patients.
Familiarity with Epic EMR system required.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients in the obstetric emergency department.
Conduct assessments and perform vaginal exams autonomously.
Apply triage processes effectively to prioritize patient care.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Document patient care and monitor progress in the EMR system.
Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
