Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with pediatric critical care experience for a 12‑hour day shift travel assignment at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center children's hospital.

Details

Pediatric respiratory therapy unit at a 153‑bed children's hospital designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center

Pediatric patient population including a moderate‑sized cystic fibrosis population and a chronic trach/vent population

Utilizes critical care ventilators, NIV (CPAP/BiPAP/HHFNC), ABG (GEM), specialized gases including nitric oxide and heliox, and ECMO program

Epic EMR — experience required

12‑hour day shifts, 36 hours per week

Every other weekend rotation, with the option to work additional weekends

No on‑call requirements

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of PICU experience within the last 5 years

Current and valid WA state Respiratory Therapist license required — license must be in hand or have proof of application submitted 6+ weeks prior to start

Required certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS

Proficiency in critical care ventilator management, NIV, and respiratory disease management of a pediatric population

Experience with delivery of respiratory medications and all respiratory therapeutic interventions

Experience with ABG (GEM) required

Epic EMR experience required

First‑time travelers will not be considered for this position

Two supervisor‑level references required (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above); one reference accepted at time of consideration, with a second required prior to start

Additional Information

Applies evidence‑based pathways and protocols in the delivery of pediatric respiratory care

Facility operates an ECMO program

Scrubs of any color are acceptable; maroon and spice colors are not permitted
