(full-time only)6 observed holidays with premium pay or leave + 1 floating holiday for full-time employeesUp to $5,000 per in tuition/education reimbursement per calendar year for approved program of studyTake home up to 75% of your net earned wages at the end of every shift401(k) retirement plan with company-matched contributions after 1 year of employmentMedical (Teledoc included), dental, vision, life, and other voluntary insurances for full-time employeesHave fun with contests and employee appreciation events every monthEssential Functions of Dietary Cook:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Determine types and quantities of meats, vegetables, and soups to be prepared by reviewing planned menus and are timelyDetermine the amount of foods needed to meet weekly menus and submit order to Dietary SupervisorAssist in establishment and maintenance of perpetual supplies inventory, and notifies Dietary Supervisor of shortages or discrepanciesConsult with Dietary Supervisor regarding use of left-overs, stores, and labels accordinglyConsult registered dietitian on modified dietsSupervise dietary workers when washing, trimming, or preparing foodAssist in training, orientation, and supervisor of newly hired dietary staffMeasure and mix ingredient according to approved recipes, using blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, etc.Cook meat, fish, and fowl in a variety of ways such as: baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming as well as carve into individual servings according to menu combinations and resident diet ordersTest food temperaturesPrepare special nourishment and supplements as instructed by Dietary Supervisor, and identify with resident name and room numberAlways observe infection prevention and control practicesMaintain a clean and organized kitchenPerform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errorsPerform all other tasks and duties as assignedQualifications of Dietary Cook:High school diploma or general equivalency is preferred1 year of experience is preferredCandidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.Company operates 24 hours a day, schedules and hours may varyOpen communicationProfessionalismEthical practiceRelationship managementAlways maintaining confidentialityEEO Statement:Our facility provides equal employment opportunities.
