Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Geriatrician to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in the Bronx, New York. This role focuses on providing specialized medical care to the elderly population within a mission-driven community healthcare setting.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling options and 24-hour on-call service on a rotating weekly basis.

Education: MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency program. Understanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferred.

Proficient in conducting geriatric assessments, managing polypharmacy, diagnosing age-related conditions, and utilizing electronic health records.

Examines or conducts tests on patients to provide information on medical conditions.

Analyzes records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose the medical condition of the patient.

Prescribes or administers treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.

Collects, records, and maintains patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination reports.

Refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. Advises patients and the community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Plans, implements, or administers health programs or standards in the organization for information, prevention, or treatment of injury or illness.

Attends scheduled monthly and quarterly medical staff meetings as well as education meetings.

Agrees to see patients irrespective of their medical condition/diagnosis.
