ENGINEERING DESIGN DRAFTER

Kickstart your career in engineering design while working on critical infrastructure projects that power communities.

We're seeking a motivated Drafter to join a growing engineering team supporting electrical substation projects. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and designers, develop specialized technical skills, and gain exposure to projects that directly impact the power grid.

Create and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD.

Support the design of new substation projects, facility upgrades, and maintenance initiatives.

Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project teams.

Help ensure drawings are accurate, organized, and aligned with project requirements.

Learn the reasoning behind engineering decisions, not just the drafting process.

Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD.

• 0-5 years of drafting, CAD, or design experience.
• Bonus Points If You Have

Utility, power, consulting engineering, or construction-related experience.

Exposure to MicroStation, Inventor, or other design software.

Interest in electrical systems, infrastructure, or engineering design.

Entry-level friendly with hands-on training and mentorship

Exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects

Clear career growth beyond traditional drafting work

Collaborative engineering environment with experienced professionals

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, MO.
