Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
Accurately diagnoses all major psychiatric disorders in accordance with the most current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association.
Routinely is effective in facilitating inpatient admissions to psychiatric inpatient facilities
Typically responds to consultation requests in accordance with the time indicated by the referring medical provider
Thoroughly conducts assessments and offers appropriate guidance for other providers in the treatment of patients who present with secondary psychiatric complaints.
Almost always serves effectively as a member of the mental health flight multidisciplinary treatment team.
Almost always provides timely and accurate psychiatric consultation.Often prepares thorough and accurate psychiatric assessments for Medical Evaluation Boards in accordance with the guidance provided by all pertinent Air Force Instructions (AFIs).
Normally renders fitness/suitability for duty determinations, and ensures that all members referred for security clearances, flying operations, personnel reliability program, and special assignments are capable of such responsibilities from a mental health perspective
Usually conducts a professional training activity for mental health flight staff, interns, students and residents in accordance with established guidelines and time frames.
Consistently engages in program development and outcome research to improve clinic services to beneficiaries.
