Consulting Statistician

Exponent is a premium engineering and scientific consulting firm that helps clients solve unique technical challenges.

We are seeking a Statistical Scientist for our Data Sciences Practice based in Bellevue, WA . The role focuses on data collection, management, visualization, and inferential analysis for diverse projects.

Participate in exploratory data analysis, statistical inference, and predictive modeling projects.

Apply risk analysis to problems in engineering, health, finance, ecology, and the environment.

Support internal and external clients in planning data collection: framing problems, experimental design, sample size calculations, and sampling strategies.

Develop reports and visualizations to address clients’ scientific and engineering problems and support litigation.

D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.

Experience in statistical data mining, reliability and life data analysis, experimental design, Bayesian statistics, machine learning, or quality control/improvement.

Minimum of 2 years experience with statistical software packages such as SAS and R.

Programming skills (C++, SQL, Visual Basic, Python) and dashboard or software development experience are strongly preferred.

Total compensation includes base salary, bi‑weekly bonuses for high‑intensity efforts, an annual bonus, and a 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
