Description:
This position requires the monitoring of vital signs and administering medications.
Responsibilities include managing perineal care and educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding.
The unit typically consists of 23 beds and has approximately 80 staff members.
On the night shift, the typical staff includes 1 charge nurse and 9-10 RNs on the floor with additional RNs in the nursery.
Patient ratios are estimated to be 3 or 4:1.
Candidates must be flexible with their schedule and adaptable to new situations.
The ideal candidate should possess a compassionate demeanor, patience, and a team-oriented mindset.
