Head of Engineering and Project Management

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Phoenix, AZ office as a Project manager. The chose engineer will work win an organized project team leading multiple engineers and drafters on projects in the design of transmission lines and foundations.

Responsibilities include providing necessary quality control/quality assurance of engineering and drawing deliverables associated with transmission lines including P&P's, foundation calculations and drawings, structure load calculations and drawings, design criteria documents, and other supporting documents as needed for transmission line construction packages. Should be able to make sound engineering decisions and judgement for the progress and success of a given project. Lead a team of engineers in assistance with assigned work development tasks including engineer proposals under the direction of a supervisor. Should be able to put together technical documents, project management reports, budget tracking, and schedule development.

An engineering degree is not required but highly recommended, in addition to 2+ years experience managing transmission projects in a utility environment, working on voltages of 69kV through 500kv. Must possess a proven ability to work with confidential information and proven ability to exercise independent judgment. Occasional travel/driving will be required.
