PARAMEDIC - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT- NIGHT SHIFT (FULL TIME)

the Paramedic will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.

12 Hour Night Shift

Shift Schedule
Work nights three 12‑hour shifts per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekends and holidays.

Initiate respiratory interventions including oxygen therapy and assistance with preparation for intubation per physician order or protocol

Initiate and discontinue intravenous lines and intraosseous (IO) access as requested by the physician, including use of the ultrasound machine

Transport and monitor stable telemetry and non‑telemetry patients

Maintain professional radio communication with incoming EMS units

Perform treatments and procedures according to approved standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines

Administer medications, according to the organization’s standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines

Initiate appropriate emergency procedures within the scope of practice under the direction of the physician or other LIP

Practice proper patient identification procedures and maintain equipment appropriate to the care environment

Perform visual acuity, eye irrigations and equipment set‑ups

Perform CLIA‑waived testing as assigned

Perform phlebotomy and obtain lab specimens as ordered

Perform Phlebotomy

Participate in hazardous materials or disaster events

Successful completion of an approved course(s) which includes basic patient care skills, EKG and phlebotomy required

Current Paramedic Certification in the State of Ohio. ACLS required, Current BLS Healthcare Provider required, PALS preferred

Experience: 2-4 years previous patient care experience and/or technical education in a health‑related field preferred
