The responsibilities of this position are to prepare parts, and other items for shipment, and to receive, verify, and record incoming materials using MRP system.

Uses hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment to move shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work areas.
Wraps and packages completed parts and assemblies and boxes for shipment to customer.
Verifies quantities to be part-marked, packaged, and shipped and examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
By using the company's MRP system to verify deliveries, put parts on hand and create packing slips.
Stamps, stencils, labels, or affixes identifying information and shipping instructions onto cartons, pallets, crates, or containers as required.
Determines method of shipment and posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage, as necessary.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and communicates with the buyer and/or shipper to reconcile damages and shortages. Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies.
Meets established standards for productivity and quality. Confers with supervisor when problems arise which impact expected level of performance.

Training of new employees that apply to shipping and receiving responsibilities.
Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.
Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.
Consistently adhere to and support company policies and procedures, including ISO14001, IATF16949, and safety regulations.

Two (2) or more years of forklift driving experience in a manufacturing environment is required
One (1) or more years of work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
Two (2) or more years of work experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook), ERP programs (SAP, Plex, etc.) Forklift Driver License is strongly preferred (even though candidates have to be licensed by the company)

Computer skills :
~ Experience with basic computer systems.

Speak effectively with fellow employees or customers.

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
