The Clinical Nurse II, Oncology is a Registered Nurse who delivers direct care to assigned Oncology patients in an ambulatory setting. Nursing care is delivered using standards of care by following approved policies and procedures. The Clinical Nurse II, Oncology establishes a plan of care, sets goals, determines priorities, and provides care within established standards of practice.
Assesses appropriately patient care needs and learning needs in routine oncology patient populations.
Reviews lab diagnostic data and incorporates in assessment
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) monitoring to maintain or improve care of Oncology patient population
Plans patient care and education based on disease process, anticipated patient outcomes, complications of treatment, and psycho-social needs in collaboration with other healthcare team members
Initiates and follows through with appropriate referrals to other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
Demonstrates competency in use of technical skills as required (i.e., IV therapy equipment utilization, universal precautions, body mechanics)
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Valid CA RN license required
Work Experience

~1 year acute care experience in a MedSurg Tele required
