Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Cardiac Stepdown

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a cardiac stepdown/PCU unit during night shift hours
Care for cardiac stepdown patients including heart cath recovery, cardiac drip management, and post-op open-heart patients
Work every third weekend and cover one holiday per contract period, subject to change based on census and staffing
Float to other units as needed during low census or staffing coverage situations
Provide care to ventilated patients on a rare, as-needed basis based on patient needs and staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Minimum of 3 years of cardiac stepdown experience, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients
Hands-on experience with open-heart patient care
Proficiency with Epic EMR
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Comfort providing care to ventilated patients when required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac stepdown or PCU setting
Experience managing a mixed cardiac and medical-surgical stepdown patient population
