*Hourly rate is inclusive of a $10.00 per hour salary adjustment stipend and a $.60 per hour institutional stipend
Employees in this job classification begin at step 5 of the pay scale and is based on education and experience. Additional shift differential $3.00/hour while working 2nd shift hours
Additional shift differential $4.50/hour while working 3rd shift hours
Additional weekend differential $2.10/hour while working weekend hours
In addition, the selected candidate may qualify for a $200 per month nursing loan reimbursement
Riverview Psychiatric Center is seeking Graduate Nurses, this first level of professional nursing work involving the care and treatment of individuals with mental illness. Work is performed under general supervision.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
A license as a Registered Nurse as issued by the Maine State Board of Nursing.
Riverview Psychiatric Center, in collaboration with the community, is a center for best practice, treatment, education and research, for individuals with serious, persistent mental illness, and co-occurring substance use disorders. We hold accreditation’s by CMS and the Joint Commission.
Take time for yourself using 13 paid holidays, 12 days of sick leave , and 3+ weeks of vacation leave annually. Vacation leave accrual increases with years of service, and overtime-exempt employees receive personal leave.
Health Insurance Coverage – The State of Maine pays 85%-100% of employee-only premiums ($12,845.82 - $15,112.76 annual value), depending on salary. Health Insurance Premium Credit – Participation decreases employee-only premiums by 5%. Visit the Office of Employee Health and Wellness for more information about program requirements.
Dental Insurance – The State of Maine pays 100% of employee-only dental premiums ($395.72 annual value).
Retirement Plan – The State contributes the equivalent of 14.11% of the employee’s pay towards the Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS).
All employees who are welcoming a child—including non-birthing and adoptive parents—receive six weeks of fully paid parental leave. Additional, unpaid leave may also be available, under the Family and Medical Leave Act.
