Entry Level Phlebotomist - Evening and Weekend Shifts

Job Description
This is a part‑time role at BioLife. The position is designed to fit a busy life, with most shifts lasting 4 to 6 hours per day, 3 or more days per week. Availability will be confirmed early in the interview process, and schedule changes will be communicated in advance. Reliability during scheduled hours is important.

Responsibilities

Answer phones, greet donors, and ensure donor safety.

Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results.

Use the Donor Information System to prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.

Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.

Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to walk, stand, lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees for the entire shift.

Ability to lift up to 5 lbs routinely, and materials up to 32 lbs occasionally, rarely 50 lbs.

Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.

Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

One or more years of minimum experience in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful.

Ability to work in a role with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1); 90 % of tasks require prolonged glove wear.

Benefits and Compensation
Location: USA - WI - Milwaukee.
Worker Type: Employee, Regular, Part time.
Starting Hourly Wage: $17.00 (subject to local minimum wage requirements). U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan and match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well‑being benefits. Employees are eligible for up to 80 hours of sick time per year and, for new hires, up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
