HR Generalist - Recruiting & Employee Engagement

Are you an HR professional who enjoys being hands‑on, building relationships, and supporting employees in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment? We're seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a 3‑month onsite contract assignment in Andover, MA. In this role, you'll partner closely with site leadership and employees to provide day‑to‑day HR support, drive employee engagement, and help ensure a positive workplace culture.
This position requires an on‑site presence and flexibility to occasionally adjust your schedule (1–2 days per week) to support multiple shifts.
Serve as a trusted HR resource for managers and employees.
Collaborate with site leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals.
Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace issues.
Employee Relations & Performance Support
Support managers with performance discussions and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring efforts.
Coordinate onboarding activities and deliver new hire orientation programs.
HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain employee records and HR data, preferably within Workday and Excel.
Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.
Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to leadership.
Employee Support and Engagement
Help drive employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, wellness activities, and site events.
Learning & Development
Partner with HR teams to support training and development initiatives.
Special Projects
Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
2+ years of HR Generalist experience.
Strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, compensation, and employment law.
Experience supporting employees and leaders in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment is highly preferred.
Experience with Workday and Microsoft Excel is a plus.
Duration: 3‑Month Contract
Flexibility to occasionally support multiple shifts as business needs require.
