Remote Manufacturing and Procurement Buyer

Buyer Position

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation is a leader in Design, Manufacturing, Installation and Support of automotive automation/material handling systems in North America. The company is currently seeking an experienced Buyer for the facility in Reynoldsburg, OH.

The primary goal is satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity. Specifically, the Buyer is responsible for purchasing and negotiation of materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. These activities include but are not limited to: acting as the liaison at all levels between corporate, estimating, engineering, jobsites, remote offices, and services/spare parts and coordinating activities with manufacturing, engineering, sales and accounting.

Estimates fabricated mechanical and electrical components for entire organization

Follow internal control procurement policies and procedures

Develop specific annual purchasing objectives for assigned areas including cost reduction and quality improvement

Prepares detailed cost tables to justify bidding, outsourcing and budgetary goals, and documentation to support budgetary and estimating requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literacy is a requirement. (Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word)

Purchasing type MRP system (SAP) knowledge preferred

Minimum 1 year purchasing, sourcing, or planning experience.

Motivated individual capable of learning and working as a team to procure parts, components, and services.

Must be willing to service internal customers.
