The Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant works collaboratively with a physician and multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to outpatients. The APRN/PA is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.APRN:

• Master's Degree in Nursing - FamilyMedicine
• Three (3) years of nursing experience.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas
• APRN License
• Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification.
• 1 year of APRN experience in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Master's Degree - Physician Assistant
~1 year of PA experience in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care or Family Medicine

~ APRN:

• 4 years of nursing experience
• 4 years of APRN experience in Gerontologyand/or Memory Clinic Experience

4 years of PA experience in a Gerontologyand/or Memory Clinic Experience

Extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians.
Provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, prescribe medical treatments, and manage health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician(s).
Work autonomously, as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
Coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, and assuring that care is timely and appropriate.
follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines.
Assist internal and external stakeholders as needed with exceptional customer service.
