Travel Nursing Job Details

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370-$2,500
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-Shift: 8-hour days
Unit: Oncology unit with 18 semi-private bays
Candidates must be available to arrive on Thursday, December 3, 2026, for a required employee health appointment on Friday before the assignment begins.
Oncology RN Job Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Hawaii
At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; adult oncology nursing experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and injections
Knowledge of hazardous drug handling, administration, disposal, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records (EMR)
Strong clinical judgment, oncology documentation skills, communication abilities, and commitment to patient safety
Oncology Registered Nurse Responsibilities
Independently administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapies, and other ordered injections
Verify informed consent before administering chemotherapy and other applicable oncology treatments
Monitor patients throughout intravenous therapies and accurately document treatment, medications, responses, and changes in condition
Recognize unusual occurrences, notify the appropriate oncology provider, and initiate emergency interventions when necessary
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medications, treatments, expected responses, side effects, disease processes, nutrition, activity, and physical adjustments
Maintain a safe care environment and follow policies and procedures for hazardous medications, infection prevention, and personal protective equipment
Provide compassionate, individualized care to adult oncology patients and complete related duties as assigned
