Yard AssociatePridestaff is currently seeking a Yard Associate for a construction equipment manufacturing company located in Fontana, CA. Please see the job requirements below to be considered.Pay Rate: $18-$18.50Shift: Monday – Friday, 7am to 3:30pmJob Duties: The main purpose of the Yard Associate is to support the stockyard. The Yard Associate does this by performing various tasks to support the operations. The Yard Associate may work in a variety of different departments within the stockyard, as assigned by the yard supervisor, to complete diverse job tasks. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Yard Associate position to work towards maintaining a Safety-First Culture. Essential Functions:Perform all tasks as assigned by departmentMaintains clean and safe working environmentAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsEssential Skills:Math Skills: Ability to perform basic mathAttention to Detail: Thoroughly reviews work for errors, follows instructions, proofreads, and maintains accurate recordsOrganization: Exhibit organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to problem-solveResponsibilities:Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.Assist with inventory preparation and counting.Operate powered industrial equipment.Assist with performing yard maintenance and clean-up.Complete all assigned job tasks within designated timeframe.Maintains safe and clean work environment by following safety and housekeeping processes and procedures.Assist in job shadowing new employees.Assist specialized workers.Accurately and efficiently input data using handheld technology or similar devices to track and maintain accurate order counts and shipment data.Additional duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Must have at least 6 months working in a Yard or Construction related experience within the last year.Must have experience with hand tools and power tools and be able to follow blueprints for assembling of the construction equipment.Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.Ability to work on feet for 8 hoursMust be able to talk, hear, visually see, pull, push, bend, lift to 50lbs, balance, visually see, grasp, and stand and sit for extended periods of timeSpecific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlAbility to work outside.Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.Must be willing to submit to a drug test prior to startBilingual English/Spanish highly preferred but not required.Benefits of PrideStaff:Competitive payComprehensive benefits packageHealth BenefitsPaid Holidays after 1500 hoursCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $18.50 Per Hour
