Under the direct supervision of the SAFEPLAN Manager, SAFEPLAN Advocate responsibilities will include the following:

Provide legal advocacy to victims of domestic and sexual violence;

Assist victims with safety planning

Explain legal process and assist victims in obtaining restraining and harassment orders;

Participate in clinical supervision

Maintain up-to-date client files and statistical data.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services required or equivalent experience. Experience with crisis intervention regarding issues such as homelessness, mental health, substance abuse. Department of Housing and Community Development, Department of Transitional Assistance and the Department of Children and Families preferred. Applicants who are bilingual are encouraged to apply.
