QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Engineer with a backend focus and an SDET-like mindset. This role is centered on API and backend testing, with automation testing experience and a deeper understanding of system behavior.
Execute manual testing for RESTful APIs (functional, integration, regression, negative testing)

• Troubleshoot issues using logs and backend data to identify root causes
• Perform end-to-end testing across systems and integrations
• Validate data across APIs, databases, and services
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, etc.)
• Support QA process improvements and contribute to automation where possible

3-7+ years of QA/SDET experience with strong API/backend testing

• Ability to read JSON, XML, and write basic SQL queries
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile environments

Some experience building QA automation scripts (any tool)

• Exposure to CI/CD and automated testing workflows
• Experience with microservices or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
