Truetimber Arborists is a leading provider of professional tree care services, dedicated to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Crew Leader (Tree Climber Foreman) to oversee daily operations of our General Tree Work crew in the field. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, leading a team, and ensuring the highest standards of tree care and safety. Lead and supervise a tree care crew to ensure productivity, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
Plan and organize daily job tasks, allocate resources, and delegate responsibilities to crew members.
Operate and manage specialized equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts (bucket trucks), and cranes as needed.
Climb and perform tree work regularly to support crew production and job completion.
Conduct on-site safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Maintain job site cleanliness and ensure proper maintenance and security of equipment and vehicles.
Communicate effectively with clients and crew members, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
Complete job paperwork, reports, and site assessments accurately and in a timely manner.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the tree care industry.
Hands-on experience in tree climbing, rigging, pruning, removal, and general tree operations.
Strong knowledge of tree biology, proper pruning techniques, equipment use, and safety standards.
Willingness to obtain a CDL Class B (with airbrake endorsement or higher).
ISA Certifications (Certified Arborist, Tree Worker Climber Specialist, etc.) Ability to operate and/or direct aerial lifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery safely and effectively.
Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
