Travel Respiratory Therapist Day Shift Job

Quick Look ARMStaffing is looking for a Respiratory Therapist in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3 shifts per week: 2 shifts at Harrisburg and 1 shift at Camp Hill; day shift from 07:00 to 19:00.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality care through intensive respiratory support and patient transport as medically prescribed. This role includes evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients upon discharge. The therapist operates a variety of ventilatory and aerosol devices, administers medications, and performs chest physiotherapy to promote effective secretion clearance.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.

Explain treatment procedures, tests, and equipment to patients.

Perform routine and emergency respiratory care procedures including suctioning and ventilatory support.

Conduct monitoring such as oximetry and capnography.

Review and assess chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies.

Assist with procedures related to respiratory care.

Document treatment details and patient responses accurately.

Collaborate with physicians regarding therapy efficiency.

Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.

Participate in equipment maintenance and quality control of respiratory devices.

Required Experience

Experience in performing comprehensive respiratory therapy procedures and managing complex patient needs is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

Current Respiratory Care License is required. BLS and ACLS certifications are also necessary.
