Part-Time Hourly - School Custodian

Custodian Position at Richland School District

Ignite Education Solutions is hiring custodians to work part-time at Richland School District.
Hours are in the evening after the school day ends. Training and development opportunities, including access to a professional development platform where you choose your growth opportunities.

Pay range starts at $12 per hour

Cleaning and sanitizing:
Sort and recycle materials according to school policies.

Surface maintenance:
Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.

Floor care:
Strip, wax, and buff floors as needed.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries.
Inform supervisors of any supply needs or equipment malfunctions.

Maintenance tasks:
Report maintenance issues, damages, and needed repairs promptly.
Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues.

Arrange furniture and equipment as needed.

Seasonal duties:
Perform seasonal tasks, such as snow removal and salting during winter.
Coordinate with other custodial staff to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators.

Follow school policies and procedures related to custodial tasks.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
