Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our oncology floor for a 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension. The position offers EOW scheduling, with a preference for 3x12-hour shifts, but 4x12-hour shifts will also be considered. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:6 or 1:7, and candidates should have experience managing higher ratios.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the oncology floor.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to define and implement individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Mentor and assist less experienced nursing staff as necessary.
Qualifications
Current BLS certification required.
Minimum of two years of recent Medical-Surgical experience.
Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
Experience with telemetry and IV starts is essential.
Previous oncology nursing experience is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Cerner and Soarian EMR systems is a plus.
Applicants must wear royal blue scrubs, which are not provided.

Additional Information
Local candidates residing 31-50 miles from the facility will be considered; those under 30 miles will not be accepted. The assignment is scheduled to start three weeks from the offer date.
Shift Details
Day shift, 4x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00). Block scheduling is available.
