Williston District, Construction Section, Western ND This position will travel throughout Western North Dakota and be based out Williston, Dickinson, Minot, or Bismarck District office. Travel and overnight stays for the week may be required of the position. On-site work in the summer months could be in any one of the four districts listed. NDDOT Hiring Salary Transportation Engineer III: $7,243 / month NDDOT Hiring Salary Transportation Engineer II: $5,999 / month NDDOT Hiring Salary Transportation Engineer I: $5,403 / month Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. As a Transportation Engineer in our Williston District, you will manage small and medium construction projects and be the main inspector on large projects. Previous experience in preparing environmental documents and construction plans is a plus. In this role, you will manage construction projects, monitor contractor operations and assure project is built according to the plans and specs. You will also be responsible for designing projects and preparing plan documents for district designed projects. Other duties include large project inspection, filling in for project engineer in their absence, bridge inspections, preliminary surveys, bridge deck evaluations, construction survey and materials testing, as well as other miscellaneous job duties. Transportation Engineer III: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other applicable engineering degree, and Four years of professional-level engineering work experience, and Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam as specified by the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and Requires a class D driver's license for travel to meetings and project locations. Transportation Engineer II: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other applicable engineering degree, and Two years of professional-level engineering work experience, and Eligibility to write the Fundamentals of Engineering exam as specified by the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and Requires a class D driver's license for travel to meetings and project locations.
