Buyer, Procurement (Temporary)

Initiate or receive field purchase requisitions, log and assign purchase order number, route to purchasing supervisor or project management for approval

Research vendor/supplier prices, delivery dates, etc. Negotiate equipment rental agreements with suppliers, document terms, complete insurance forms

Negotiate and place long term or "blanket" purchase orders for routine (constantly required) materials, administer such contracts

Expedite/coordinate material deliveries, invoice problems with Accounting and vendor, quality requirements with Engineering, and material identification with Material Control

Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.

2 years' recent electrical construction material procurement or related experience preferred

Advanced knowledge of procurement/vendor inspection techniques, procedures, and working knowledge of accounting, financial management and business contract law

Proficient MS Office/EXCEL knowledge
