Nurse Practitioner Preceptorship Program
The Center for Human Development (CHD) is offering a Nurse Practitioner Preceptorship Program! Are you a current Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student seeking hands-on clinical experience? Whether you are pursuing an MSN, DNP, or post-graduate certificate, CHD offers a rich and diverse preceptorship opportunity to support your professional journey.
CHD provides structured preceptorships for students at all levels of nursing education-including Associate, Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral programs. Nurse Practitioner students are matched with experienced preceptors and gain exposure to a wide range of mental health and behavioral health services, including:
Outpatient psychiatry (for both pediatric and adult populations)
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders.
Individual and group therapy models
Students will be placed with at minimum one preceptor and often have a secondary preceptor to expand their learning experience
Additionally, CHD's extensive network of community-based mental health clinics and social service programs broadens your clinical experience within a real-world, integrated care model. This will be an unpaid opportunity.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in a PMHNP Program (MSN, DNP, or post-grad certificate)
Must hold a valid RN license in the state of Massachusetts
