CSSI officers receive hands-on training through our in-house Academy — including situational training, first aid, CPR, advanced certifications, and weapons training — that goes well beyond state requirements.
We are hiring a full-time Armed Campus Security Officer to provide security at K-12 school campuses in the Savannah, GA area. Provide armed security coverage at assigned K-12 campus(es)
Monitor access points and control entry to school buildings and grounds
Coordinate with school administration, faculty, and local law enforcement
Monitor CCTV and alarm systems as applicable
Serve as a visible deterrent and professional security presence
Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Weekends and school holidays are typically off. 22.50 – $23.50 per hour, based on site assignment. CSSI uses a post-based pay structure — your hourly rate is determined by the site you are assigned to. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40 in a work week.
Valid Georgia Armed Guard License issued by the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies (required — this is an armed position)
Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
Availability to work Monday through Friday during school hours
High school diploma or GED
Prior law enforcement, military, or armed security experience
School or campus security experience
Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and incident reporting
