Restaurant Food Runner (Evenings)

In this role, you will serve as the essential link between our front and back of house — running food, resetting tables, restocking supplies, and supporting servers and bartenders wherever needed. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives working as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team. Hospitality is the number one priority. Core Responsibilities

• Deliver food accurately to the correct seat, positioning each plate with the main item facing the guest and never auctioning off food.
• Clear and reset tables quickly and quietly, pre-bussing plates, glasses, and silverware as soon as guests are finished.
• Restock glassware, silverware, ice, roll-ups, side plates, and to-go supplies throughout each shift.
• Support the bar as a bar back when needed, polishing glassware, maintaining a clean bar top, and washing glassware in the three-compartment sink.
• Assist guests directly with refills, simple requests, and table needs, notifying the appropriate server along the way.
• Complete opening and closing checklists, including trash and cardboard management. Dining room upkeep, outside dining areas and exterior walkways.
• Maintain an organized dish pit, scraping and sorting plates, glassware, and silverware to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Communicate proactively with servers, bartenders, chefs, and management to anticipate needs and support seamless service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality support role preferred
• Ability to multitask across front and back-of-house responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-first attitude
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong physical stamina, including the ability to carry trays and bus tubs for extended periods
• Comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision
• A positive, guest-first attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Flexible availability, including weekday, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must hold or be able to obtain required certifications (e.g., R.A.M.P., ServSafe) within 30 days of hire
