With offices in Sacramento, Walnut Creek, North Hollywood, and San Diego, we proudly represent public charter schools and private schools in all areas of litigation. Our litigators regularly appear in state and federal trial and appellate courts and before administrative agencies throughout California.
The Role: We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our team of dedicated school advocates (at any of our four offices). You will take ownership of complex cases at the forefront of education law, with early courtroom opportunities and direct client relationships. If you have 5+ years of litigation experience and are a member of the California Bar, we want to hear from you.
Draft dispositive motions, writs, and appellate briefs, often on issues of first impression.
Take and defend depositions and lead discovery in state and federal court and in administrative proceedings.
Advise charter school and private school clients directly on litigation strategy and risk.

Competitive Compensation: The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $225,000, depending on experience, plus quarterly and annual performance bonuses.
Flexible Work Arrangements: We offer remote work and/or a hybrid schedule and a billable expectation of 1,800 hours per year, well below large-firm norms.

5+ years of civil litigation experience in state or federal court.
Proficiency in drafting complex pleadings and conducting legal research and analysis.
