Head of Maintenance and Facility Management (m/w/d)

Facilities ManagerProvide oversight of maintenance of overall facility, including the warehouse distribution center. Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the day-to-day operation of all building infrastructure and equipment, maintenance activities, warehouse inventory equipment and vehicles. Responsible for creating and managing safety and security policies and procedures organization-wide.Duties/Responsibilities:Oversee and provide guidance and education on optimal building and grounds maintenance to include OSHA compliance, emergency preparedness, and compliance with applicable health and safety rules and regulationsDevelop and lead health and safety training and compliance programs in alignment with OSHA requirements for all employees in the organizationOversee HVAC maintenance and repairsPlan and manage facility central services such as HR, security, cleaning, catering, vending, waste disposal and parkingSupervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipmentProcurement and contract management for all building and maintenance needs; obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers; negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost savingDevelopment security plan and oversee security staff and/or servicesOversee utilities and building IT infrastructureConduct and document regular facilities audits and inspectionsCoordinate internal office movesImplement best practice processes to increase efficiencyCoordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliersManage contractor and vendor relationshipsManage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are metEnsure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are metPlan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levelsEnsure efficient utilization of facility maintenanceStaff performance manage, develop and train staffPrepare and track facility budgetMonitor expenses and paymentsGenerate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchaseDevelop and implement cost reduction initiativesAdvise on and monitor energy efficiencyOversee environmental health and safetyRespond to facility and equipment alarms and system failuresProvide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupantsDesired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; demonstrated leadership experience; familiar with computers and standard software applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.Technical Requirements:5+ years of experience in Facilities ManagementStrong understanding of warehouse control systemsAbility to read and understand electrical, mechanical and automated systems.Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.Employee Safety and Security Program Development experienceExcellent project management skillsVendor and Negotiation ExperienceLandscaping ManagementBudget ManagementAbility to travel, including to disaster areas.Detail oriented with the ability to take initiative and work independently.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, to travel via automobile or airplane at a moment's notice. Must pass (clear) toxicology screening.
