Hospital: Methodist Texsan Hospital

Location: San Antonio, TX

Unit: Surgery (701) - Classification: RN – OR

Shift Detail: Variable w/ Flex OnCall - Varies 06:30-1900 / 0630-1700 or 0630-1500 Mon-Fri Shifts Weekend – Flex OnCall

Call Requirements: Yes - (1) day per week from 1700-0630 A and (1) weekend every 3-4 weeks starting on Friday 1700-Monday 0630

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Special Skills/Experience required: 2 years + CT Surgery Experience

Number of Beds: OR 4

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 2 Tech’s/Case, unit secretary or analyst

Type of equipment: Balloon Pump, cell saver and mako

Documentation system: Meditech, hana table, jackson table. Beachchair position, neptunes

Floating policy: As needed

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set: Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

2+ Years of experience

BLSACLS – Required for RN’s

CT SURGERY EXPERIENCE

GEN/Ortho/Spine experience

Familiar with Balloon Pump

Total Joint Surgery experience

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)

CNOR PREFERRED

Meditech Experience preferred

Experience Mako Robot

Scrub experience

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN) Active TX RN License ONLY - temp License will not be accepted

Procedures performed on unit: CT, ORTHO, SPINE TRAUMA, GENERAL SURGERY

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

Scrub Color: Facility will provide scrubs

Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy

Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed

Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible
