Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Coverage
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit managing complex conditions including Bariatric Surgery recovery, Stroke, Acute Respiratory Failure, Aneurysm, Encephalopathy, and Fall-related injuries
Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, initiating timely interventions as needed
Document all clinical care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Float within scope to other units or sister facilities up to 75 miles as needed to meet staffing demands
Participate in orientation modules, which may include both billable and non-billable hours depending on clinical vs. non-clinical content
Required Qualifications
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — no pending licenses accepted
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers not eligible
Must reside more than 75 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible — candidates within 75 miles are considered local and are not eligible to apply
Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required, along with a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address dated within the last three months of the projected start date
Must be willing to float within scope to other units and/or sister facilities as needed
No more than 5 days of RTO per 13-week contract period; no holiday RTO accepted
Two supervisory references required at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
Experience caring for neurological and post-surgical patient populations
