Phlebotomist (temporary/hourly)

Location: 2233 Post Street, Suite 105, San Francisco, CA 94115

Job Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.

Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely

Process billing information and collect payments when required

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

Maintain patient and specimen information logs

Provide superior customer service to all patients

Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Travel to additional sites when needed

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License

Preferred Qualifications

At least one month of experience as a phlebotomist

Current or prior experience with Labcorp

Additional Job Standards

In lieu of the state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at the time of hire may meet the requirement

Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Compensation

Pay Range: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour

Benefits

Employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, as well as casual, intern, and temporary staff, are eligible only for the 401(k) plan.
