Head of Recruiting & HR

We are looking for an HR Manager to support our Human Resources department. You will act as the first point of contact for HR‑related queries from employees and management. Your main duties include ensuring an engaging working environment and promoting our Corporate Culture, maintaining internal databases, and administering government reporting. This is an “active” position: you will oversee the HR team and perform team duties when needed.

Main Functions Oversee the hiring process, including job postings, background check processing, orientation, and onboarding.

Lead compliance and processing of employee disciplinary issues, investigations, employee concerns, and complaints.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and labor laws, including FMLA, PFML, HIPAA, and EEOC across multiple states.

Document and maintain government reporting, including annual affirmative action plans and EEOC reporting.

Develop, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures.

Collect and analyze HR data and recommend updates or changes to leadership.

Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.

Be familiar with standard HR concepts, practices, and procedures.

Support the HR team during PTO or leave.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Travel Less than 20%.

Education and Experience Requirements 3-5 years of human resource management experience; bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience may be considered.

HRIS experience—Paycom helpful.

MS Office proficiency: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Strong organizational skills and creative problem‑solving.

Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment laws.

Work schedule may vary and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays due to special events, inclement weather, and other projects.

Requires activity around moving machinery and exposure to temperature changes, humidity, dust, fumes, and gases.
