Educational Requirements for Pre-K Counts Teacher:
Have a minimum of BA/BS in Early Childhood Education.
Must have a Pennsylvania Department of Education Instructional Certification for Early Childhood Education.
At least 1 year of experience teaching in an educational setting.
Job Type: Full-time (10-month position) Summer off with paid.
Pay: $23 - $25 per hour (depending on experience)

Essential Responsibilities and Standards of Performance
Use understanding of child development as the foundation of work with young children.
Effective pedagogical approaches include developmentally appropriate practices along with the use of curricula and PA early learning standards to create meaningful learning experiences for children.
Support the mission and philosophy of the program
Develop and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with families.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Conduct yourself as a member of the early childhood profession.
Support center staff and leadership in maintaining high-quality standards and achieving enrollment goals.
Familiar with TSG / Creative Curriculum.
Be familiar with Keystone STARS standards, DHS regulations, PA Early Learning Standards, and Creative Curriculum.
Responsible for classroom management and supervision of children at all times.
Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
All applicants must present at the time of hire current PA child abuse, PA clearance, NSOR certificate, and original FBI fingerprints along with a completed health assessment and TB Test.
