Description:
Start date within the next 3-5 weeks.
36 or 48 hours considered for scheduling.
On-call duty required - one shift per six-week schedule.
Six weekend shifts per six-week schedule (Saturday and Sunday are considered weekend shifts).
Candidates who reside at least 50 miles from the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Staffing and scheduling details:
Patient ratios during days, nights, and weekends are 5.
Float required: No.
Call requirement: One shift per six-week schedule.
Additional Information:
Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.
Daily census ranges from 10-13 patients.
Unit comprises 13 beds.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
Patient diagnoses include post-operative care, orthopedic cases, diabetes, pneumonia, and wound care.
Special procedures include medical-surgical care without telemetry monitoring or cardiovascular medications.
Required skills include:

• Accessing and managing ports
• Blood product administration
• Feeding tube care and management
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Insulin management
• Wound care and management

Compliance and documentation:
A mandatory drug screening is required upon arrival, including testing for marijuana.
A positive result will lead to automatic cancellation of employment offer, with no exceptions.
Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen prior to arrival.
Local radius for applicants is limited to 150 miles.
Previous staff must be gone one year before returning as a traveler.
Clinicians must complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a plan in place for completion in that timeframe.
Charting experience with preferred systems is advantageous.
Hard document submission is required by a specified deadline prior to the start date.
Modules for training are non-billable and are completed during orientation.
