Job Summary
Job Title: Adult Behavioral Day Program Instructor Caregiver

Hourly Rate: $18 - $20/hr

Shift: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Status: Full‑Time

Location: Temecula, CA

Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll do:

The Day Program Instructor supports adults with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well‑being. The instructor serves as an advocate for clients.

Essential Functions

Outline and prepare daily routines for clients, as written in Individual Program Plans.

Assist clients with bathroom needs, changing undergarments or clothing as needed.

Prepare daily meals and assist with clean‑up.

Support clients with daily living and vocational activities.

Pick up and drop off clients in company vans from and to their homes or facilities, when necessary.

Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.

Input client notes into computer programs, review IPP goals, and communicate with supervisors when necessary.

Attend regular staff meetings and participate in continuing education and training.

Perform other related duties or assignments as required.

Education and Experience

1 year of experience preferred supporting adults with developmental disabilities.

ASL proficiency preferred but not required.

At least 21 years of age.

Valid California driver’s license.

Must successfully pass all pre‑employment requirements, including a background check.

Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & 2) preferred or willingness to obtain within first 6 months of hire.

Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred or willingness to obtain within first 6 months of hire.

First Aid and CPR certification.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
