Podiatric Physician Surgeon

Looking for a skilled podiatrist interested in practicing in the Lehigh Valley which is located in northeast Pennsylvania. Located in Allentown, the third largest city in PA, our practice was established in 1991 and is a well‑respected, very sought‑after busy office with strong ties to the community. We are looking to invest long term in a well‑trained Podiatric Physician and Surgeon who wants to become part of this vibrant growing community.

The ideal candidate needs to be board certified or qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. A current Pennsylvania license is required. We would like a well‑rounded, exceptional, compassionate individual who enjoys treating patients and practicing Podiatric Medicine. A strong surgical background is preferred since there is a call schedule for the practice as well as a large hospital system. Our doctors have surgical privileges and staff appointments at the largest hospital systems in Pennsylvania.

Our busy practice presents an opportunity to rapidly grow professionally and prepare to take the surgical board certification if not already certified. It is an opportunity to step right into a full schedule. Our close knit group of doctors are available to collaborate and mentor. Our doctors have the training, experience and certifications you would want for mentorship. Our doctor work schedule is consistent with set days and sessions that very rarely change, allowing for a better work‑life balance. Call is also consistent with an opportunity to switch with other providers when needed for vacation and emergencies.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat foot and ankle problems

Weekly surgical schedule

Rotating call schedule including ER and consultations

Educate patients on foot care and preventative measures

Collaborate with health care professionals

Wound care opportunity

Teaching opportunity: residents, interns and externs

We are fortunate to have a top‑rated health system that includes the full range of services. The area is home to the Lehigh Valley Health Network - Jefferson (level 1 trauma hospital) as well as St Luke's Health Network, which does have an excellent Podiatric residency program. Allentown is home of the Iron Pigs, the Philadelphia Phillies triple‑A franchise and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Philadelphia Flyers affiliate. Other Lehigh Valley cities include Bethlehem and Easton. This is an area to live where there is plenty to do and enjoy besides work.
