Mortgage Originator- Remote
Virtual Vocations Inc
Performing a limited review of various loan types, the full-time Mortgage Underwriter I will manage an individual pipeline, review underwriting conditions, and assist in interpreting guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
Manage daily pipeline by completing underwriting reviews, appraisal reviews, and clearing conditions
Identify document deficiencies, request additional information, and provide updates to clients on outstanding conditions
Assist team members in interpreting underwriting guidelines and perform independent research on guidelines and overlays
Required qualifications
3+ years of related experience in the mortgage industry or residential mortgage loan underwriting
High school diploma required
Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry practices and applicable regulatory compliance
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of MS Office products and Encompass
