Night Shift Oncology Nurse

Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Oncology
Schedule: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts (may include days, nights, or a combination). Schedule reviewed every 4-week period based on unit needs.
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
Acute care experience must be current (working consistently in last 12 months) in the specialty applied for.
EPIC experience required.
Valid compact or state RN license in hand at the time of submission.
Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required.
Oncology experience preferred but not required.
Previous travel experience preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and surgical oncological diagnoses.
Monitor patients' conditions and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Manage patient symptoms, infections, and comorbidities effectively.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and charting in the EPIC system.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and fall risk management strategies.
Compliance / Notes:

Orientation: 72 hours.
Urgent fingerprinting process required after signing the contract.
Pre-approved time off must be included with submission.
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director).
Candidates unresponsive to credentialing risk push/cancel.
